This op ed is trying to demonstrate that some political figures haven't accepted the fact that police brutality is a real problem and that African Americans are in fact being discriminated when they are pulled over by the police. Until the head of police departments realize that police brutality is an actual issue and that African Americans do indeed have a higher chance of being killed by a police officer, this issue will never end and the outcry from the public will just increase.

In your Summary, you introduced a well-developed thesis to demonstrate what the article presents to the audiences. However, no analysis is implied, which affect the way you understood the topic. Articles, such as yours have a bias reporter, which included functions such as tone, appeal, and certain sentence structure. Therefore, you should have gone into a deeper interpretation, rather than such a summary.
ReplyDeleteYour summary is very concise however I feel as if you failed to mention key points regarding specific actions that have been wrongfully justified. This would have made the presented argument stronger and you could have analyzed a lot more. Overall you analyzed the issues behind the controversy in a very direct way. It would be great if you mentioned other points and examples to strengthen your analysis.
